Who we are

What we collect
We only collect what you give us. Through the function enquiry form that is:
- Your first name, last name and email address (required).
- Your phone number and preferred contact method, if you provide them.
- Details about your event: type of event and function, preferred and alternative dates, preferred start time, guest numbers, and whether you are interested in a karaoke booth or a drink package.
- Food requirements, accessibility requirements and any message you write. Please only include health or dietary information you are comfortable sharing.
- Whether you consented to us contacting you about your enquiry, and separately whether you opted in to marketing.
- Basic technical context: the page you were on, the referring site, and any campaign tags in the link you followed. We do not store your IP address; it is used only, in hashed form and in memory, to rate-limit submissions.
We do not use cookies for advertising or tracking on this website.
Why we collect it
To answer your enquiry and organise your function. Marketing consent is asked for separately, is never pre-selected, and refusing it does not affect your enquiry.
Who else receives it
- Karaoke booth bookings are taken by Square. When you book a booth you enter your details and card information directly into Square's own system — it does not pass through this website. Square's privacy terms apply.
- Event tickets are sold by Eventbrite. Following a ticket link takes you to Eventbrite, where their terms apply.
- Maps are provided by Google. The map only loads when you choose to load it, so Google is not contacted until you ask for it.
- The song library link takes you to Singa.
- Function enquiries are delivered by email to Here & Now Lounge at [email protected]. [to confirm: the transactional email provider that will carry them.]
Where it is stored, and for how long
Function enquiries are sent to [email protected] and held in that mailbox. [to confirm: the retention period, and whether enquiries are also copied into a CRM.] Our intention is to keep an enquiry only as long as it takes to handle it and any resulting booking, then delete it.
Access, correction and deletion

Security
The site is served over HTTPS. The enquiry form validates and sanitises everything you send, limits how often it can be submitted, and uses a hidden field and timing checks to filter automated spam. We do not store card details — payments are handled entirely by Square.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, contact us first. You can also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes
We will update this page if what we do changes, and change the date at the top.
